About Me:
Update: I'm doing a Kundalini Yoga teacher training course which i'm really enjoying and it has the added bonus of encouraging a more diligent daily practice. I'm still hoping to get to India later in the year and spend some time attending teachings with Yeshe Sonam Rinchen in Dharamsala.
I'm back from visiting my sister in La Paz when there, I also got a chance to visit Peru. If you'd like to see photos, feel free:

I also had a wonderful time in Sri Lanka in August. Here are some photos of my week spent between meditation retreats exploring some of the amazing ancient temples and Sigiriya:

If you are interested in seeing some of my photo albums of ancient scared places in Ireland, like Glendalough, Monasterboise, Wicklow stone circles, New Grange and others they are also on picasweb.
If you are interested in art and sculpture, feel free to take a look at what I do: www.sculpture-ireland.com
I've also uploaded some art work and photos here on gaia.com.
I'm a flute teacher living near the sea in beautiful West Cork, Ireland. I'm also a sculptor, making carvings in stone, work often based on ancient art and mythology. Teaching music to children is a very rewarding job and has taken up most of my working time and energy over the last 7 years.
After letting my creative side wane, I took a year off teaching, went travelling visited my sister in La Paz, Bolivia and went to Peru. After that I took part in some Buddhist meditation and Kundalini yoga retreats in Sri Lanka and Wales and hope to get to the Himalayas later in 2009.
While my background is in Zen Buddhism, I am open to the wisdom and insight offered by other schools and paths. I would love to spend some time in Dharamsala attending a wonderful Tibetan Buddhist philosophy course there and if I manage to sort things out next year with my house and job, I will do that.
I'm not inclined to go window shopping, but if our understanding is truly grounded in reality, then we see eye to eye with those who have plumbed the depths of their own particular traditions, even if our language is different.
It is a humbling experience looking at the profiles of other zaadz members. I was a little sceptical when I arrived but there are many people here who manage to help others in a genuinely creative way, while pursuing a path of inner enquiry with integrity.
